Advanced Level Teaching Techniques in Cyprus
Cyprus Training Overview:
Advanced Advanced Yoga Teacher Trainings: Yoga Therapy Foundations and Advanced MethodologyThe Advanced Level Yoga Teacher Training begins with a two week in-person intensive in Cyprus. Practicum work, home study, one-on-one support from Nancy is to be completed upon your return home.
Intensive: July 1-7 and 9-15
Each week-long training is 6 days, 7 nights.
Week 1: arrive on July 1, the program starts on July 2, 6:30 am and ends on July 7 at 3 pm.
Week 2: arrive on July 8. The program starts on July 9, 6:30 am and ends on July 15 at 3 pm.

Overview: Join us for one or two weeks of advanced level training. These trainings are designed for yoga teachers who want to increase there ability to serve. In week one, there will be yoga therapy foundations; therapeutic use of yoga for stress, trauma, depression, chronic pain, anxiety, addiction, includes anatomy of joints and foundations for healing centered teaching techniques. In week two, there will be advanced teaching methodology and philosophy studies; methodology of advanced poses, injury prevention, hands-on alignment techniques, Ayurveda, Patanjali's yoga sutras and Bhagavad- Gita.
These advanced level trainings can be taken for 60 CEC hours each week or be the contact hours for an advanced level training. For those wishing to receive 300 hour advanced level certificate please review the additional Long distance hours required:

Week 1
1a Biomedical Foundations- Increase your ability to teach asana safely, help clients with injury and give sophisticated cueing for asana. We will learn anatomy of the foot and ankle, knee, hips, pelvic floor, spine, rib cage, shoulders and neck.

1b: How to make Yoga Asana, Meditation and Pranayama accessible to all – Hone your teaching methodology to include a variety of demographics. This section includes how to teach gentle yoga, chair yoga, wheelchair yoga, and restorative yoga.

Week 2
2a Mind/Body Integration, Yoga Philosophy – The study of yoga philosophy gives yoga teachers a time-tested foundation for understanding the mind. In this course we will develop the critical thinking skills to teach yoga techniques to help in the healing process of stress, depression, anxiety and trauma.

2b Advanced Teaching Methodology – Become a teacher’s teacher. Learn effective techniques and queuing to teach advanced poses, to give hands-on alignment and to prevent injury.
